Digital Legacy Readiness Talk at Southport Nov. 5
Join consultant Kari Smith Nov. 5 at 6 p.m. for a Digital Legacy Readiness Talk at the Southport Memorial Library.
Dig out of your digital clutter and organize your critical documents! Everyone’s life is kept in two places. Some of it is online: email, photos, social media, bank logins and subscriptions. The rest is on paper: vital records, insurance policies, property papers, medical information and wishes that were never written down. When someone dies or can no longer manage, their family must search for both, at one of the hardest times of their lives. Accounts get locked, documents go missing, photos are lost, and subscriptions keep charging. Most estate plans cover only one of these halves, and most people don’t have a plan at all.
Join Kari for a presentation about what you can do now to avoid this outcome. She will talk about challenges for you and for your next of kin/executor with locating and using your critical information and solutions to overcome. During the talk she will give you information about how to navigate decision-making and will suggest some methods for organizing your paper and digital files. There will be time for Q&A after the presentation.
